About Lori Clapper, Wonderfully Woven

Lori is a freelance business writer and the founder of a new online ministry for women, called Wonderfully WOVEN.

Ever since the early days of toting around her Fisher Price tape recorder, interviewing her younger brothers about the latest playground news -- Lori knew media was her passion. She dedicated most of her career entertaining thousands of fans as a radio morning show hostess at Christian radio stations in Erie, PA and Fayetteville, NC. In 2008, Lori decided it was time to hang up the headphones and to start getting some sleep. (Those 3 AM wake-up calls are killer, especially when you don’t like coffee!) She spent the last six years as a website editor in the pharmaceutical industry and as the PR Director and content strategist for a high-tech marketing firm; She is currently freelancing and devoting time to Wonderfully WOVEN.

Most importantly, Lori is married to Greg and is a mom to three kids and two dogs. She loves watching makeover shows, is a QVC addict, and loves to blog, podcast, shop, sing (mostly in the car or shower), as well as spend time with family and friends.

“God calls us for the person we will become, not necessarily the person we are right now.” — Lisa Bevere, Women of Faith speaker The Israelites had “done evil in the sight of the Lord,” and had turned away from God, according to Judges Chapter six. So God had given them over into the hands […]

Be Mindful…to Be Mindful

Mindfulness. It’s defined as living in the moment and awakening to experience. That’s powerful stuff. But it’s something we’re not always mindful of, so to speak. As a woman, there are so many things vying for your attention during the course of the day, that mindful-ness is left in the dust. (You fill in the blanks.) And somewhere in […]

You Are Wonderfully Woven

No matter what has been done or said to you, God has given you a unique story that someone needs to hear. He has gifted you with talents that weren't meant to be hidden, but used for His glory and to benefit others, like Peter writes in 1 Peter 4:10: Each of you should use whatever gift […]

What’s Your Story?

One of my favorite songs right now is My Story, by Christian band Big Daddy Weave. It’s a modern spin on an old hymn of the church, Blessed Assurance: This is my story, this is my song, Praising my Savior all the day long….. This got me thinking about my story. And yours, too.  Each day is […]

Will You Live Brave?

By · Comments Comments Off on Will You Live Brave?

Do you have days when it takes practically all of your energy and courage just to roll out of bed in the morning? Two friends and I were talking about that the other night. And though each of us rolled our eyes and shared a laugh over that conclusion, we also took pause at the profound truth behind it. What […]

Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My load is light.Matthew 11:28-30  Re-location. That was the first step […]

Psalm 77: When God Seems Far Away

By · Comments Comments Off on Psalm 77: When God Seems Far Away

Each time I have gone to prayer this week, Psalm 77 has come to mind. The Lord led me to this passage a couple of months ago when I took a day to fast and pray. And I feel in my heart that you may need these words as much as I did then (and […]

God’s Design for Friendship

“The more friends women have, the less likely they are to develop physical impairments as they age, and the more likely they are to lead a contented life…. and not having friends or confidants is as detrimental to your health as being overweight or smoking cigarettes.”   — Nurses’ Health Study from Harvard Medical School Another study showed […]

Like you, I have made my share of New Year’s resolutions. I’ve bought Buns of Steel (and yes, that dates me!), P90X, and put myself on fad diets. And they work…for a while.   I scramble for days to get the house cleaned and organized, with the vow that things won’t get behind again!  But they do. […]

Are you laughing?

She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25 NLT One of my favorite companies is Dove(R). Yes, they do provide great beauty products that I use from time to time. But the thing I love most is their branding -the way in which they celebrate beauty – in all […]
