Dear Jill & CWAHM.COM,
Posted by: | Comments"I recently discovered your website when searching the net for books clubs and the like. About two weeks ago, after reading your little review of Passenger’s Side, I went to Amazon and purchased it. I just finished it this morning.
I believe this book has changed something within myself. I learned so much about what a relationship with the Lord can really be like. I knew mine wasn’t right, so I guess you could say I was searching. I believe that seeing this book on your website, was simply meant to be. The book was just wonderful. I have read a handful of Christian books over the years, but never one like this. I have already recommended it to friends. I just can’t say enough about it. It has been a huge blessing!
So thank you for having it on your site. I know this book has and will continue to help me tremendously."
Sincerley,
Stephanie

Total Heart Health for Women/Total Heart Health for Men by Young, Duncan and Leachman
Posted by: | Comments"This book is written from a couples perspective after the husband had some heart problems along with 2 Christian doctors. It deals with the spiritual, emotional and physical care that we need to give our hearts." – Jan Wolfe
"Most of us are overcommitted with jobs, families and activities. Ben Young and Dr. Samuel Adams point out in their book Out of Control, Finding Peace for the Physically Exhausted and Spiritually Strung Out that as we continue to fill our schedules with all our activities, there is less and less time for rest, relaxation, and renewal.
Too many of us look at being busy as a status symbol. We believe the lie if we’re busy, we must be important. But the authors point out that "God loves and values us as His unique children not for anything we’ve done, but because of who we are." We have value just because of who we are: children of God.
The authors go on to help us understand that rest enhances productivity. We need rest to be renewed for the work that is ahead of us. God made Adam and Eve on the sixth day, on the seventh day he commanded that they rest. Their work was ahead of them, yet they needed strength for their work by resting first. We all require rest to accomplish the tasks set before us.
The authors don’t just move us to think like they do, but they give us a plan of action to carry out their advice, including changing our priorities (they show us how) and turning off the constant flow of technology around us once in a while.
I read this book as a favor for a friend, I now carry with me the wisdom and knowledge I gained to grasp a semblance of control for my own life and my family’s as well.
Even if you are marooned on an island, with a soccer ball as your lone companion, Ben Young and Dr. Samuel Adams have written a book everyone can benefit from." – Sandy McKeown
Faces of Faith by Jon Hanna
Posted by: | Comments"This book takes a look at the lives of actresses, politicians, singers – all women who have a testimony of faith to share. It is encouraging and powerful to read the stories of these women and the words they have to share." – Jill Hart, CWAHM.com
"The Mom I Want to Be is different from the other "mothering" books I’ve read. Eller tells her story of a dysfunctional family life and how she has overcome it to be a successful, loving mother. If you had a less-than-wonderful childhood or even if you simply struggle with minor pain from your past, you’ll want to read this book. It’s a vivid portrayal of the effects of our words and actions as parents can have on our children. It’s also a touching story of how these hurts can be overcome." – Jill Hart, CWAHM.com
How Do You Know He’s Real? by Amy Hammond Hagberg
Posted by: | Comments"In the book, How Do You Know He’s Real, you’ll get an inside look into the spiritual lives of 34 celebrities. Hagberg has compiled testimonies ranging from Kirk Cameron to Rudy Sarzo (former bass player for Ozzy Osbourne). Each story is remarkably different and it’s amazing to read how God has worked in the lives of each of these well-known people." – Jill Hart, CWAHM.com
Be Still by Cherie Hill
