Interview with Jill Savage, founder of Hearts at Home
Posted by: | CommentsFounded in 1994, Hearts at Home began as a small ministry to mothers at home in Central Illinois. After seeing a local support ministry to help mothers flourish in Bloomington, IL, eight women gathered to pray about the possibility of offering education and encouragement to mothers at home outside of their area. They thought maybe 500 women would attend, but 1,100 showed up – and they came from 10 different states!

Posted by: | Commentsby Nancy Twigg
For many years, I was able to think of contentment only in terms of material possessions. During that time, if you asked me why people are not content, my automatic answer was, “Because they want more and more stuff without appreciating what they already have.” Unfortunately, my canned response didn’t bring me much comfort as I worked through my own issues with contentment.

Deuteronomy 7:6-7
“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but because the Lord loves you.” NKJV

Posted by: | Comments
I am SO excited for the next Chronicles of Narnia movie, Prince Caspian to release next month! I read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as a kid, but hadn’t read the rest of the series. So, I decided I’d try to read each before they appear on film.
Prince Caspian comes out on the 16th and I’ve almost finished it.
What about you? Have you read the books? Gonna see the film?

CWAHM.com is a dream that God has truly brought to life. I began CWAHM.com in 2000 while learning HTML. I thought it would be a fun hobby and a way to compile all the information I was seeking on working at home. I am a mom of 2 (1 boy, 1 girl), a wife and I do work from home. I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of seven as a Sparky in my church’s AWANA club. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Grace University in Human Development and Family Studies/Bible. I love working from home and I pray that CWAHM will be a blessing in your life as it has been in mine.
