I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for reaching out to moms like myself and providing encouragement. I am single, struggling, and the mother of 1 & 2 yr olds. A few months ago, I packed up bottles and snacks in the morning and was driving around with my kids to churches and food pantries to survive.
With some financial help from neighbors and some time on my knees, I picked myself up and decided that I WOULD make SOMETHING work! I don’t get child support so I gathered monthly expenses and started researching hundreds of things every day until I ran across a VA website. It sounded like the answer to my prayers. Then I found your site and have been slowly but surely increasing my income at home.
I only placed 8 bids on iFreelance before I got my first client. It was a short project but she loves my work and we are still working together. Yesterday I got a second client and now I have more work to do than I can fit into a day. My house is clean but a disaster. My kids have been slightly neglected and planted in front of more TV than I would like. We are eating frozen dinners instead of me cooking.
BUT . . . by gosh I am providing for my family and I am proud of myself. Keep inspiring and encouraging. Thanks for being who you are and helping me remember to lean on the Lord!!!

How’s Your Christian WAHM Article Coming?

When you write about your personal journey of faith, God can use your words to touch people in ways you wouldn’t have imagined, and to inspire and encourage them in their own faith journeys!
For example, several months ago, I discovered the website, What is Church. I had been feeling like I needed a change in my church situation, but I also felt really alone with my frustrations. By writing about their own spiritual quest, God used Mike and Amber’s words and experiences to encourage me in mine!

GodTube.com’s exclusive online Pre-Telecast Awards coverage begins at 5:30PM EST on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 with the televised coverage of The GMA Dove Awards beginning at 8:00pm on the Gospel Music Channel (GMC). GodTube.com’s backstage press room coverage will be available online throughout the Awards’ telecast.
GodTube.com’s online broadcast will include the presentation of more than 30 Dove Awards and exclusive performances only available on GodTube.com. In addition GodTube.com will host live interviews in its private press room booth with winners, performers and presenters. Visitors to the GodTube.com site will also be able to interact with other GodTube.com users via chat in its Live Event Room while viewing the live broadcast. At the end of the Pre-Telecast Awards, GodTube.com will switch to live backstage press room coverage that will be broadcast throughout the televised GMA Dove Awards.

Talk about making moms’ lives easier! I was just listening to KLOVE.com and they mentioned a website that sells kids shoes that “grow” with your kids feet. They actually allow you to expand the shoes a size or two.
Can you imagine how nice it would be to buy shoes once every 3 sizes instead of every time a new size is needed? I was afraid they’d be ugly, so I went to check them out and they are actually really cool!
