Review: My kids love the new VeggieTales video, Pistachio! It’s based on the story of Pinocchio, but with the message of God’s love woven through. My kids thought it was hilarious and they were glued to the TV during the story. Afterward, as they were telling me all about the story and what they learned from it, we were able to have a conversation about lying and how harmful and hurtful it can be. We also discussed God’s unfailing love – how He loves us no matter what. Certainly couldn’t ask for more from a DVD! A great, godly message is wonderful, but take advantage of the opening VeggieTales provides us parents to dialogue with our kids on these tough topics!
About Pistachio:
Once upon a time in the small Italian town of Bologna-Salami, there lived a lonely toymaker named Gelato and his assistant Cricket. Gelato had no children he could call his own, so one day he decided to carve a little boy out of wood. Imagine Gelato s surprise when he learned that this little toy boy could walk … and talk … and definitely had a mind of his own!
Will Pistachio learn that obeying the wisdom of a loving father will help him find what he really needs and could be the key to saving his whole family from becoming fish food? Find out in this all new VeggieTales adventure with a lesson about the importance of family and listening to your parents.

CWAHM.com is a dream that God has truly brought to life. I began CWAHM.com in 2000 while learning HTML. I thought it would be a fun hobby and a way to compile all the information I was seeking on working at home. I am a mom of 2 (1 boy, 1 girl), a wife and I do work from home. I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of seven as a Sparky in my church’s AWANA club. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Grace University in Human Development and Family Studies/Bible. I love working from home and I pray that CWAHM will be a blessing in your life as it has been in mine.
Love, love, love the Veggies. Sounds like a great DVD.
Veggie Tales are awesome! My family and I still watch Veggie Tales movies (mind you, my babies are ages 17-10 yrs. old )
Started Veggie Tales when my 20 yr old was a little girl. She’s in the military now and when she is away, I’ll stick a Veggie DVD in and think of when we use to watch them together. They NEVER get old! Can’t live without them!
We love Veggie Tales at our house – my girls have really enjoyed watching them over and over – and I like them too!!!
