Posted by: | Comments (0)

latara2013largetree“Without continual growth and progress, such words as improvement, achievement, and success have no meaning
.”  -Benjamin Franklin

Growth means the act or process, or a manner of growing; development; gradual increase.  This term is key to success in any area of life including business. When you begin to set the right foundation in your business there is no doubt that growth will occur. When your foundation is shaky then that growth will soon become stunted.

Has your growth been stunted?

Growth is stunted in our lives when we allow things like pride, conceit, malice, envy, jealousy and any self-seeking motives. Growth finds it path when we allow ourselves to relinquish the need to control our lives and learn to simply rest in God’s presence.

If you find that your growth has been stunted it is okay. Everyone is at this point at one time or another. The key is to recognize the stall and move beyond it.

Here are a few tips to help you move past a stunted growth period:

latara2013Naked Faith is a faith that trusts in God even when you can’t see the answers. It is faith that allows you to risk in ways you never imagined because you know that God will be there on the other end, helping you each step of the way. Naked Faith takes you into a zone of being that glorifies God because you are reliant upon Him for your success. This type of faith is powerful!

businessfaithWhen I started being more transparent in business people said I would never be successful. They said I was too open about my faith. They told me that my faith has no place in my business. I almost listened! But NAKED FAITH had already become a part of me! I had to move forward with the call to share my story, work my business in a more transparent manner, and help others to confess and live their truth as well.

You may be wondering how one walks in Naked Faith to a point of hearing from God for their business. I have learned a few key facts in doing that very thing and I want to share them with you along with action steps you can take to achieving success with each one.

LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerSome people are born doers.  Some people are born thinkers.  Some think about doing and never get anything done.  There are many ways to become a person of action and what works for someone else may not work for you.

As you move into 2013, consider how you can become a person of action. When you take action, it keeps you from living a haphazard existence; allowing life to stand on top of you instead of you standing on top of it!

Taking Action Takes Order

Action people are usually people who are organized and seem to know precisely how to proceed from one project to another effortlessly.  Others flounder in a world of disorganization, haplessly moving one piece of paper to another location without knowing why.  At the end of the day, the doers typically have more energy than at the beginning as they feed on taking action.

The flounders at the end of the day are still floundering and can’t understand why nothing has been accomplished and they feel exhausted.  They step back to assess their day’s accomplishments and fool themselves into believing progress is being made, when in realty little or nothing has been done. LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerIf you know anything about me, you know that music especially the music of Mary J. Blige, is a huge part of my mentoring structure and my life. Perhaps you are wondering why? Of course I will share! jump for joy

Music has the power to speak the words that many fail to communicate properly. It has the power to touch hearts, heal wounded spirits, and give a person a reason to keep hoping. People have been changed because of music (some for the good and others for the not so good). Trust me I know because when I was in my depression and my business was going to ruin, there were two artists in particular that I listened to day after day. I cried, I prayed, and I found solace in the words of Mary J and Calvin Nowell.

Today I want to use some of Mary’s lyrics again to help you see that you should never give up. You should breakthrough!

With Mary’s CD, “The Breakthrough” there is a call to women to stand strong, don’t give up and breakthrough. Listen to these verses from “You can’t hold a good woman down”… Read More→

LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerOur female pit bull recently had puppies and I as I witness her take most of the day to deliver eight puppies, it was the process that made me think twice about how we move forward in our own lives. It was what occurred days before the birth of the pups that showed me some things about not just running your puppybusiness but living your life; that made me consider the awesome wonders and truths about Yahweh and how He sets up for success.  There is a process to it all! That we must understand.

My husband came home one night and his tire got stuck in a hole that had been dug by Oreo. We had no real idea why; until the birth of the puppies. That is when we knew she was preparing a den for the puppies. It was a perfectly round hole where she was able to get comfortable, give birth, clean and feed her puppies, and have a safe haven for them. Her stages of preparation helped her puppies come into this world safe and although one died about a week later, she was prepared. Even after the death of her puppy she kept things in order and was able to remove the puppy from the den to keep the other puppies safe.

So what does the birth of Oreo’s puppies have to do with Yahweh preparing you for what is to come? Do we have to dig a hole to get ready for what is to come? How does her preparation compare to yours? Read More→

LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerSticking with my topic this month of wise investments, this week I want to touch on ways to find investments that fit your budget and style.money in garbage

This month finds many children and even adults going back to school. This means there money will be invested as well as time and a few other things. Investment can be a hard pill to swallow when your budget is tight. However, it is important to note that where there is a will, there is a way when it comes to investing in your success in life and business.

I am a tight budget momma but I understand that I have to make quality investments into my business so that my business creates the return on invest I desire.  If you don’t mind I am going to honestly share my take on how to invest on a budget.

Find quality low cost options for investing

Even trading companies like Scott Trade have low cost options and it does not cheapen them in the least. One thing that really bugs me about many coaches, consultants, experts, etc., is the greed that drives them to charge astronomical fees, hiding it behind the guise of their value being worth the high cost. Am I saying that you shouldn’t pay for it? NO WAY! However, there are some folks out there just taking advantage of the fact that they can and well, they do take your hard earned dollars for granted. LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerWhen it comes to building a house you need to be willing to invest in quality supplies in order to create a home that is not only beautiful, but can withstand the elements and endure the test of time. Investing in the necessary tools for your success should be the same for both your personal and professional life. It is important that you take the time to make sure you have thoroughly explored the options and that you have a clear picture of your goal.

You need to plan, research, and enlist the advice of others so you can have a realistic idea of the skills needed to achieve your goals. Once you have a strong understanding of your plan, you move forward to acquire the necessary skills and resources.

The Definitive Example of Investment

When it comes to investments, we tend to think of Wall Street, Ameritrade and the rest.  But, let me ask you: Have you consider the Ultimate investor?

Think about Christ. Everything He did was a success. Why? What was the secret? Read More→

LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success Blogger“The successful networkers I know, the ones receiving tons of referrals and feeling truly happy about themselves, continually put the other person’s needs ahead of their own.” ~ Bob Burg

This post is a quick but powerful read. Do you have a supporting networking circle? Have you integrated who you are with a group of people who will support your vision, dreams, and goals?

One thing I notice among Christian Entrepreneurs is the lack of truly supporting one another. Yes, we say we network but do we understand how to network? Much like those who do business from a secular standpoint, we have the power, and even more so to share and network in a mighty way.

Why?

Because we have the tools and resources! We understand, or at least we should, that there is power in teamwork and that a strand or three cords is not easily broken. Imagine if we became a strand of many chords. If three are not easily broken, then just imagine the possibilities.

Here are some tips on creating a supporting network circle. Read More→

“Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.”

Proverbs 19:21

As we move to the last quarter of the year and begin considering our 2013 goals, I want to challenge you to be sure that you are moving forward with your values as the lead. What do I mean? Simple, you want to be sure that what you value helps you determine the goals that fit the plan God has set forth for you.Bible

Can I share a valuable lesson with you?

One of the worse mistakes I made early on in building my business was listening to others and not heeding what God was telling me. You see I value my faith and relationship with God; and what I did was place Him as second fiddle to the high income I was beginning to produce. I had to take a step back, let go of the popular radio show, the high paying clients, and the other stuff that was in the way.

I had to start all over again from scratch. The first thing I did was to began by assessing my values. I looked at what really mattered and began to create my plans and goals according to what I saw. The process showed me where God was truly leading. What I thought was to be my business was not. It did not fit my values and it was literally sucking the life out of me.

It was God’s purpose that was to prevail and my plans had to match. Read More→

LaTara Ham-Ying - Integrated Success BloggerFoundation in simple terms means the base on which something is grounded. Here is a simple yet complicated question for you. What are you grounded in?

Understanding that your foundation is crucial to true success is not something to be taken lightly. You have to have a solid foundation in all you do in order for true success to find you.

In Jeremiah 29 our Father, our God shares with the Israelites who have been yet again captured and placed under someone else’s rule that He is working it all out. You see they had become discouraged and it was necessary for them to come to an understanding of what God had in store for them. In this passage of scripture at verse 11 He reminds them it is all under control and that He is allowing it all for their good when He tells them that He knows the plans He has for them and they are plans that will cause them to succeed…not fail…so hold on!
