I have been through a transition of sorts and in many ways I am still on that road. This transition has helped me to tap deeper into the need for an integrated lifestyle for success. However in order to understand how to
do this you have to gain knowledge of a few necessary tools for the journey. These tools are within your reach every day. You just have to know how to use apply and use them in the right way.
For the month of July I want to challenge you to move out of your comfort zone so that you are stretched and you see results in your business as a result. Today let’s discuss making decisions!
A decision is a choice between two or more alternatives. If you only have one alternative, you do not have a decision. Webster’s 9th Dictionary adds some richness to the idea of choice by introducing the idea of uncertainty. It has this to say about the word “decide”, the root of “decision” Read More→

In PART ONE of the series on influencing like Christ we talked about leading by example. Were you encouraged to be more like Christ when it comes to influencing other in your business?
Today we will dig into two more very important components of influencing like Christ.
Communication
What you say and how you say it is of utmost importance when influencing others.
If you’re condescending or condemning in your speech, others will see you as haughty, arrogant and egotistical. Most likely, they’ll steer away from you. However, when you’re uplifting, encouraging and genuine, others tend to listen and heed what you say.
Christ was a natural encourager and His agenda was well known. He was tactful and honest in His approach. While He said what needed to be said, He was sure to use the right words at the appropriate time to get the point across. I could share a scripture but truly all four of the Gospels show the powerfully tactful communication style of our Lord and Savior. Read More→
When it comes to having a successful business, knowing how to influence others is great asset to attain. However, as a faith-filled Believer it is important that we understand that influence is not manipulation or deceit. Influence for the Believer should be persuasion with love and service at the forefront of our objective. As Christ was the Great Influencer so we should strive to be the same.
In order to get a clear understanding about influence, it may be necessary to know what the term truly means.
Influence is the capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something.
Influence is one of the most motivating factors in decision making. When you have a major decision to make, what are the influences that drive you to a final decision? Read More→
In my previous post, I shared about the power of mustard seed faith. It is a relevant topic for the Christian Work-at-Home Woman because of how easy it can be to allow the flesh to lead when it comes to business. Learning about how to exercise faith is important to the success of those who claim Christ and own businesses.
This week let’s take a look at steps to exercising this very faith that does not need to be large to carry a lot of POWER!
Steps To Exercising Your Faith In Business:
- Stay Prayerful. Prayer is essential to your faith quotient because it enables a closer relationship between you and God. When your communication is strong, your trust grows. When your trust grows you measure of faith carries more power than you could ever imagine. Read More→

And the Lord answered, If you had faith (trust and confidence in God) even [so small] like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree,
Be pulled up by the roots, and be planted in the sea, and it would obey you.
Luke 17:6
What is faith? Does it really mean for your business? How can you incorporate faith in your business every day?
When most people define faith they usually go to the familiar scripture Hebrews 1:11 (NLT)which states…
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen;
it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Read More→
In my last post we looked at a few questions that you must ask yourself in order to succeed. This week let’s reverse it a bit and discover a couple of questions that a woman in business should never ask herself.
How can I make so and so do such and such?
“I never learn anything talking. I only learn things when I ask questions.”
~Lou Holtz
One of the most common misunderstandings we have as humans is in our belief that we have the ability to change other people. We somehow think that through punishment, force, reward, or just plain strength of will, we can change other people.
We see this all the time: Women attempt to change boyfriends and husbands, parents try to change their kids, and coworkers try to change each other. But somehow even if we realize short term success, it’s never long-lasting. Ask any parent who’s tried to force a baby to eat strained peas. Even if you get them into the mouth, they’re likely coming right back out again. Read More→
When it comes to success some people struggle simply because of how they talk to themselves. Language is a big part of our day and self-talk takes up most of a given day, especially for the work at home mom. Questions we ask ourselves are a core component in how we function. It is important to understand that the questions you ask yourself and these very questions affect how you think and move throughout your day.
This month I want to help you focus on the questions you need to ask and the ones you need to stop ask so that you experience more success in your life; which in turn brings you more success in business.
What is blocking me right now?

Having laser sharp focus is crucial to your long term success. Having a good idea and sticking with it until it either succeeds or fails is actually a very important skill. Unfortunately is s skill that many entrepreneurs lack and fail at as a result.
Results Come with Diligence, Not Singular Spurts of Effort
Entrepreneurs often feel powerful spurts of desire, of determination, of feeling like they’re willing to do whatever it takes. Feeling that way for a few days or weeks isn’t an uncommon feeling.
However, to really succeed you need to be able to stay motivated and inspired about what you’re doing for months and years at a time. You have to realize that life is life. Stuff happens and allowing the stuff to interfere to such a point that it harms everything in its path, including your business will only lead to failure after failure.
Business is not a short term game. You have wins and you have losses. It’s a matter of persisting through all the ups and downs to the final result of real success. That takes time and focus.
