Bess Blanco - Staying Fit at Home BloggerAs full of fun and fond memories the holidays can be, they can also be a step backwards to many of us in the realm of our health goals.  Working from home can be a saving grace in some ways, as we are not surrounded by numerous temptations from well-meaning co-workers, but it also can serve as a trap for the accountability portion of our healthy pursuits.  Since we are alone in our workspace, no one can see how much we serve ourselves, or what we’re choosing to eat and drink, for that matter!  This year, integrate these easy tips into your workdays to stay on better track with your health goals:

  1. Exercise first thing in the day – You will quickly find that if you exercise first thing in the morning – even if it’s just for 20-30 minutes – that your energy level will last longer through the day, your thought process will be clearer, and your back will hurt less!  Try it for a week, starting with just 3 days of 30-minute exercise first thing in your morning, and check out the energy boost you’ll feel!
