<itunes:summary>Coming out of a strong and defining 2008, A Road Less Traveled presses into the future. In May 2008 two songs off their debut album ldquo;Rescuerdquo; gained national airplay and their single ldquo;Save Merdquo; settled into the top 30 at christianrock.net.

Showing no sign of slowing, the goal for 2009 is to release the sophomore album called Of a Captive Heart in the fall. ldquo;These songs will dive deeper into the struggles and triumphs we have as a band and as individuals. The main goal is to create songs that people love, and love to sing along with,rdquo; says lead singer Zach Dietz. ldquo;Wersquo;ve always had compassion for the struggles that people go through day-to-day, and we wonrsquo;t waiver from that passion-- but this album will show that same concern in a different light, and slightly different sound.rdquo;

Since teaming up with JMA Music INC., A Road Less Traveled has strengthened their front and is sure to push the limits since their beginnings as five good lsquo;ol boys from Texas. ldquo;I was highly impressed with the professionalism of A Road Less Traveled the first time I saw them. Since then, they have proven to be one of the more creative and harder working bands I know. These guys are great at creating an environment for God to move, rdquo; comments Michael ldquo;Kalelrdquo; Wittig, who co-owns JMA Music INC., with Joey Avalos, both formerly from the band Pillar.

The group has also invested time and efforts into different charities and organizations throughout the past and look forward to working in a more hands-on manner with hunger relief organizations and teen crisis centers locally and nationally in the future. ldquo;Itrsquo;s important that we put our faith to action and get out in the community and meet the needs that we sing about from stage, rdquo; comments Chris Brown, bassist for the band. The grouprsquo;s momentum strengthened in November 2008 when they hit the road with Grammy nominated artists Superchick and their supporting acts, Stellar Kart and Article One for the ldquo;Rock What You Got Tour.rdquo; Amongst many highlights, the tour solidified a fan base that has proven faithful and unwavering for the group.

ldquo;Rock What You Gotrdquo; was a nation-wide circuit that ended in West Palm Beach, Florida with Toby Mac, Family Force 5 and Reliant K. The festival featured one of the best line-ups in 2008 for Christian concert goers. ARLT guitarist Shawn Anglin noted, ldquo;Itrsquo;s a great feeling and quite humbling to have fans like we do that support us in every step. Every city we went to we had fans there to see us and support us, and that was a great feeling.rdquo;

After winning awards in the past like the ldquo;Best Independent Band of 2007rdquo; in CCM Magazinersquo;s Readerrsquo;s Choice Awards and establishing themselves as one of the most in-demand indie Christian bands in Texas, the band played over 100 shows in 2008. They have more to prove. ldquo;Itrsquo;s great to win the awards we have, and Irsquo;m beyond grateful for those accomplishments, but I hate to be satisfied with that and ride the coat-tails of success. I hope we can create new success in the future, rdquo; says drummer Kuhrt Cowan.</itunes:summary>

About A Different Dream For My Child:
For years, Jolene Philorsquo;s son was hospitalized many times as he battled a life-threatening birth defect. Far from home, without friends and family to support them, Jolene and her husband felt utterly and completely alone. Today, support networks for parents of critically or chronically ill children have improved, but most only provide for urgent physical needs. The devotional meditations in this book address the spiritual needs of these parents as the author shares her own life lessons, as well as those of other parents who have walked this road. "No matter how difficult the road," Philo writes, "you do not have to lose hope."

Learn more about the book and Jolene at DifferentDream.com or find the book on Amazon.

<itunes:summary>Shawn Grady signed with Bethany House Publishers in 2008.nbsp; He was named ldquo; Most Promising New Writerrdquo; at the 39th Annual Mount Hermon Writers Conference.nbsp; Through the Fire is his debut novel.

Shawn has served for over a decade as a firefighter and paramedic in northern Nevada. From fire engines and ambulances to tillered ladder trucks and helicopters, Shawnrsquo;s work environment has always been dynamic. The line of duty has carried him to a variety of locale, from high-rise fires in the city to the burning heavy timber of the eastern Sierras.

Even Smoke Runs From the Fire.

Firefighting burns in Aidan Orsquo;Neillrsquo;s blood, but his innate gift for reading flames has made him overconfident and sometimes puts lives in danger. When one call goes horribly wrong and a rookie is hurt, Aidan ends up suspended and finds himself questioning everything.
It couldnrsquo;t have happened at a worse time.

An arsonist is targeting Reno, leaving a scorched path of destruction. The department calls Aidan back, but his return is troubled. The gift he relied on for so long has gone silent and itrsquo;s as though the fires are coming for him, hunting him down. Teaming with a beguiling fire investigator who may know more than shersquo;s saying, Aidan must discover where his trust rests as the flames burn ever closer.
An Explosive Blend of Action, Romance, and Danger.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>If you had a particularly thorny problem, yoursquo;d want to talk it over with Marilyn. Partly because shersquo;s a professional counselor (with two Masterrsquo;s Degrees). Partly because shersquo;d give you biblically sound, eminently practical advice...and partly because shersquo;d make you laugh so hard yoursquo;d feel better almost immediately.
Marilyn has been enlightening, encouraging, educating, and entertaining Women of Faith audiences since we began these events. But donrsquo;t worrymdash;she still has plenty of wisdom and fresh insight to share! Shersquo;s the parent of two and proud grandmother of two more. Originally from the west coast, Marilyn now lives in Texas.

About Marilyn Meberg's What To Do When the Roof Caves In:
Every family and every person has been there in one way or another. It's the moment when everything falls apart unexpectedly. The roof has caved in. And the question immediately following comes from the rubble: Now what?

Marilyn Meberg's What To Do When the Roof Caves In offers readers a certified counselor's answer to that question in their own lives. Moving from topic to topic, nbsp;she helps readers understand where their emotional responses are coming from when hard times hit. And she offers practical, sisterly advice to tackle those trials that seem like they can'tnbsp; be mended.

Topics include: death and other major loss, financial crisis, abuse, marital infidelity, suicide, and more.</itunes:summary>

Last March, Waterbrook Press published the authorrsquo;s first fantasy novel, On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness, to critical acclaim. Garrison Keillorrsquo;s News from Lake Wobegon and The Chronicles of Narnia, along with bedtime tales Peterson spun for his daughter Skye and two sons Aedan and Jesse, inspired the book. Learn more about Andrew, his music and the Wingfeather Saga novels at Andrew-Peterson.com.

Peterson has also launched an online artistsrsquo; community known as The Rabbit Room (www.rabbitroom.com). Here songwriters, artists, and authors converge to share ideas. <itunes:summary>Tune in as author Rene Gutteride chats with us about her new co-authored book, Never The Bride. Rene shares about what it was like working with a co-author for the first time, how the idea for the book (and movie!) came about and what it was like writing about romance from a spiritual angle.

About Never The Bride:
Jessie Stone has spent thirty-five years fantasizing about marriage proposals, wedding dresses, and falling in love. Shersquo;s been a bridesmaid eleven times, waved dozens of couples off to sunny honeymoons, and shopped in more department stores for half-price fondue pots than she cares to remember. But shopping in the love-of-her-life department hasn't been quite as productive. The man she thought she would marry cheated on her. The crush she has on her best friend Blake is at very besthellip;well, crushing. And speed dating has only churned out memorable horror stories.

So when God shows up one day, in the flesh, and becomes a walking, talking part of her life, Jessie is skeptical. What will it take to convince her that God has a better love story than one of the thousands shersquo;s cooked up in her journals? Will she trust Him with her pen when it appears her dreams of being the bride are forever lost?

A romantic comedy with a spiritual twist, Never the Bride is what it means to lose controlmdash;and getting more than any woman could ever imagine.

Please visit the official movie website: http://www.neverthebridethemovie.com

About Rene:
Rene Gutteridge is the author of several novels, including Ghost Writer (Bethany House Publishers) The Boo Series and The Occupational Hazards Series (WaterBrook Press) and the Storm Series, (Tyndale House Publishers). She released My Life as a Doormat and The Ultimate Gift: the novelization for WestBow Press. She has also been published over forty times as a playwright, best known for her Christian comedy sketches. She studied screenwriting under a Mass Communications degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University, and earned the "Excellence in Mass Communication" award. She served as the full-time Director of Drama for First United Methodist Church for five years before leaving to stay home and write. She enjoys instructing at writers conferences and in college classrooms. She lives with her husband, Sean, a musician, and their children in Oklahoma City.</itunes:summary>

About the Book
Myles Parsons is just another inmate in Kenzie Thornrsquo;s GED course until he kidnaps her, offering only a feeble explanationndash;that hersquo;s actually FBI Special Agent Myles Borden. Terrified, Kenzie doesnrsquo;t want to believe his story of being undercover to protect her. Moreover, she canrsquo;t believe that someone might really want her dead.

But just when Myles thinks he has her out of harmrsquo;s way, his plans start to fall apart. He attempts to take Kenzie to a safe housemdash;but the stubborn woman wonrsquo;t go! So together they must uncover the clues that will reveal a most shocking perpetrator. All the while Myles tries to keep his distance from Kenzie hellip; but finds himself falling in love.

About the Author
Liz Johnson grew up reading Christian fiction, and always dreamed of being part of the publishing industry. After graduating from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with a degree in public relations, she set out to fulfill her dream. In 2006 she got her wish when she accepted a publicity position at a major trade book publisher. While working as a publicist in the industry, she decided to pursue her other dream-becoming an author. Along the way to having her novel published, she completed the Christian Writers Guild apprentice course and wrote articles for several magazines.

Liz lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she enjoys theater, ice skating, volunteering in her church's bookstore and making frequent trips to Arizona to dote on her nephew and three nieces. She loves stories of true love with happy endings. The Kidnapping of Kenzie Thorn is her first novel. Keep up with Liz's adventures in writing at www.lizjohnsonbooks.com.</itunes:summary>

<itunes:summary>Raising boys isn't easy. Life with them is loud. If it's quiet, they're probably up to something. Boys are messy, competitive, fearless, and proud. Living with them pretty much guarantees that you're in for an adventure.

As the only female in a house with three sons, a husband, and two male dogs, Jean Blackmer has learned a lot about living with boys. She knows that as a mom it isn't always easy to communicate and connect with these creatures of noise and energy. Everyday, they force you to live in a world where bugs are cool, safety is an afterthought, and "talking is torture."

In Boy-sterous Living, Jean shares a few of the priceless stories and laugh-out-loud lessons that she and her boys have experienced over the years. With humorous insight and practical advice, she offers encouragement and ideas to help both mothers and fathers impact and shape the lives of their sons. From understanding their love of sports to overcoming the superman complex, Jean shows moms how to find joy and contentment in everyday life by celebrating the laughter, passion, noise, and endless energy boys bring to our lives.

Additonal resources include:

Thoughtful questions to help parents explore their views on raising sons
Bible verses to help parents apply God's truth to the trials and joys of raising a family
Suggestions for more information on several topic and issues related to parenting boys

About Jean:
Jean is currently the Publishing Manager for MOPS International and she's been free-lance writing for 16 years. She has been published in a variety of local and national publications, including: Guideposts, MomSense, Todayrsquo;s Christian Woman, Christian Parenting Today, American Girl, Proverbs 31 Woman, Chicken Soup for the Mother and Son Soul, Chicken Soup Cookbook for the Busy Momrsquo;s Soul, Focus on the Familyrsquo;s Teen Phases, Guideposts Miracle Series, and others.</itunes:summary>

Listen in as Suzanne shares with us about her new book, For The Love of Dogs, why she wrote the book and what's up next for her!

From the author of the Copper Star series, winner of multiple awards, comes this heartwarming tale of Samantha Christiansen, a young woman who is capable, confident, good at her job of managing the family's olive oil ranch...and is going blind. Gently pushed by her family to get a guide dog, Samantha is partnered with Azure, a yellow lab with infinite patience. Samantha and Azure are assigned to Jack Shaw, an instructor known for bringing out the best in his students...even those with absolutely no experience with dogs, like Samantha.

Jack understands how difficult it can be to trust the unseen. A former professional football player, he lost everything-his career and his family-through a costly mistake. Jack is determined to make the rest of his life count for something. He knows he can help Samantha, if only she'll let him. Fiercely independent, Samantha is reluctant to depend on anyone or anything, even a guide dog that is trained to enhance her independence. While at the guide dog school, Samantha is faced with discovering a new way of seeing: trusting in what, or whom, she cannot see.
