My Journey Home

Okay, my apologies, it has been a while since my last post. I have been organizing a Tuesday Market Booth. I have worked it two out of the last four weeks and am having so much fun with it! Hopefully it will help me to grow my way home, but if not, it is where God sends me practice people.

I have been listening to a lot of personal growth audio books through the public library. What a great way to affordably listen to a lot of great books. A couple of my personal recent favs: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and I’m just getting into Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway by Susan Jeffers which is so far, very useful!

Product Review: Kids Chore System

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I received Janet Nusbaum’s “Mom, Can I Help Around the House?” chore system. With a 6 year old and 3 year old I wasn’t convinced that I could really make the system work. It seemed like a good idea for other families, but I wondered if I could be successful with it as well.

I’m happy to report that it’s a great system and so easy to follow that even I loved it. It’s laid out in an easy to understand, easy to follow manner including worksheets, ideas and explanations of learning styles and more. I’d recommend this to any mom struggling to find a way to ease the chore issue in her home. It’s also perfect for moms whose kids are still too young for chores - if you follow this system to train your kids to enjoy helping in the first place, you may avoid the chore problems altogether.

My Journey Home

Hi and hope you’re having a blessed week! I wanted to give you an update on my journey home. Tee ball is wrapping up (this is the last week) and my business focus is ramping back up.

I am leading an AdvoCare team at a local market for the next 12 Tuesdays. It is such a great opportunity (and so challenging when you work full-time). I will have to keep you posted on how the time-management aspect and benefits weigh out. I can’t wait to see how many people we can energize and get fired up! Hopefully, we can get some other moms home with their kids building a business too! I think it will be an amazing opportunity to get in front of new faces.

I wanted to share a great book with you. The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews. This a a great book for those of you starting businesses. It is inspiratational. If you read it (or have read it), I would love to hear your comments–please post a response.

Read it before you see it…Prince Caspian

I am SO excited for the next Chronicles of Narnia movie, Prince Caspian to release next month! I read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe as a kid, but hadn’t read the rest of the series. So, I decided I’d try to read each before they appear on film.

Prince Caspian comes out on the 16th and I’ve almost finished it.
