These are a great set of guidelines. I especially like the last two, my kids love to help me label catalogs and make samples and we have fun together. It helps that we love Scentsy. Even my two year old loves to sit and smell the testers. But, yes, it is important to have boundaries with my business to keep it in balance with my family.

I could not agree more with the wise words you have put to paper here. We are all stewards of God’s money, and if we step back and just examine our business, running a successful and profitable business is what we are suppose to do. Generating money is not unethical, what you do with the money is the main factor. I love the book “Thou Shall Prosper” by Rabi Lapin for a great look at understanding prospering in business. Thanks

You are right that you should not have to pay for work at home jobs, but big companies like LiveOps and Arise charge for classes and background checks. Those are completely legitimate work at home jobs as well, just wanted to mention that too.

We have 3 daughters and we would love to win this DVD! It is so hard to find good wholesome things for them to watch. So glad Veggie Tales is focusing on our little girls. I had a family owned catering business for almost ten years. I have a large family, and the kids helped with different aspects. One son went out and did sales in corporate settings to set up accounts. Today he is employed by a large corporation in their sales dept. We had computer, graphics, website work and lots more. The kids did some of that work, earned money, and in some cases, got experience in a field that they have since chosen to work in. In my current business, a couple of the kids have also helped out a lot.

Those are creative ideas. I love the suggestion to make Christian cards and even stationery. With the scrapbooking industry what it is and with online marketing like etsy, I think people with that talent would do awesome. I am always amazed at the cards people can make!

Sounds good, my little one enjoys veggie tales and is just starting to ask questions about being pretty and what looks good- ‘not that one mommy’ (when choosing outfits) ay boy!,they start so young- this would be a blessing.
